Thank you for the inspiration. That hero/cpc stuff you have going kicks ass. Best of luck with it; you seem like the type to actually result in a playable game, rather than some flash-in-the-pan mockup.

It always kinda rankles me to be teased by awesome mockups that never result in real games - or moreover, mockups that for various reasons of logical contradiction (c.f. MC Escher) wouldn't translate well into real games.

I mean, from harsh experience I know very well -why- such a tiny fraction become real games, but it's still disappointing. Good luck.

Thanks. Yeah it is annoying when mock ups aren't real games though I'm kinda guilty of that myself as I've done several mock ups that won't ever be games (probably) and I've had people ask me about them and say I should do them but my heart just ain't in it or I don't feel skilled enough to make a whole game out of a particular mock up. Just focusing on my main two projects and see what happens in the future. My 'Hero - CF' shots here are quite out of date now come to think of it. The actual game is progressing nicely, only slow because I'm learning a lot of new things as I go.

Yeah. Sure it's a steaming dungheap of furries, weeaboos, and camwhores. It's also the biggest art site in the world.

I finally got over it when I realized that really, all my "philosophical objections" would be endemic to any sufficiently large art site.


Also I'm finally good enough that I don't want to gouge my eyes out after the creator bias on a new art piece wears off. I've made an ass out of myself enough times in my life that I just wanted to wait till I was halfways decent before joining.
